Today was a rough day. I think Rome decided to go on a sleep strike. He's only been sleeping in 30 minute increments which is killing me. I definitely thought I was not going to make it out of the door for any kind of workout. So at around 2p he took a two hour nap which had me feeling a little energized so I capitalized on that and got dressed faster than I can change my mind. However it was already 5p by this time and the sun was quickly approaching the horizon to set for the day. I grabbed Kodi, a water bottle, put Rome in his stroller and we were off. I knew it was going to be a shorter workout than yesterday so I decided to step it out. At the end of the block I started off on a slow jog, jogged all the way to the park and through it. Took a rest to hydrate and check on Rome and we were off running again, this time heading back home. All in all it turned into a 32 minute workout with mostly running a 5 min warm up and 5 minute cool down, so not so bad right? I felt really good and I'm thinking I'll be able to take Miss Krishna Jackson up on the offer of half marathon for the Rock N Roll in June. My first race (5K) will be for St. Patrick's at MCRD so we'll focus on that for now.
