Today was a rough day. I think Rome decided to go on a sleep strike. He's only been sleeping in 30 minute increments which is killing me. I definitely thought I was not going to make it out of the door for any kind of workout. So at around 2p he took a two hour nap which had me feeling a little energized so I capitalized on that and got dressed faster than I can change my mind. However it was already 5p by this time and the sun was quickly approaching the horizon to set for the day. I grabbed Kodi, a water bottle, put Rome in his stroller and we were off. I knew it was going to be a shorter workout than yesterday so I decided to step it out. At the end of the block I started off on a slow jog, jogged all the way to the park and through it. Took a rest to hydrate and check on Rome and we were off running again, this time heading back home. All in all it turned into a 32 minute workout with mostly running a 5 min warm up and 5 minute cool down, so not so bad right? I felt really good and I'm thinking I'll be able to take Miss Krishna Jackson up on the offer of half marathon for the Rock N Roll in June. My first race (5K) will be for St. Patrick's at MCRD so we'll focus on that for now.

So today is like my New Year's being that Jan 1st I was unable to make 'health' resolutions. I decided to take Kodi with me and him, Rome, and I headed over to Wells Park about 2miles from my house. I won't be doing that walk again though because it's on the other side of the train tracks, if you know what I mean...And to top it all off I headed out when the students from El Cajon High were getting off and walking down the narrow blocks. And boy are they rude, they wouldn't move over and took over the whole block. No thanks! I will stay right here in Granite Hills thanks! Once we arrived at the park we stayed for about 20mins and Kodi never left my side. So I feel like it was a futile attempt at getting Kodi to expend some energy...we'll see what tommorrow brings.
