Christmas dressin'!

I had been putting together Rome's Christmas outfits since the beginning of summer. I would buy a piece here and a piece there. Its so hard to find cute clothes for boys and I definitely have to get creative when dressing him. Here are the two outfits I put together, the one on the left for his daycare Christmas party and on the right for Christmas Eve at Grandma Patty's.

Okee means Okay

This morning Rome woke up playing and running around the house! It was like he had refueled all morning and was eager to let some energy out. he ran into the door frame and I cringed! he says, "Oh-kee". and keeps running. im assuming that meant, "ok" as in I'm ok because since then everytime he bumps himself or slips or falls he says it. It's so cute hearing it in his little tiny voice.

Spring 2012 boys fashion

I've been holding off on going shopping for Rome's Spring closet. But I have been doing my research. I saw Fendi's new fashion show and wow theyve got it right. Very fresh looking line to expect. I also checked out Zara and Baby GAP. I drew inspiration and found that the dominant colors are going to be tangerine, lime green, and yellow for boys. Also, I'll be pairing those colors with nudes and whites and I definitely need to get him either some brown moccasins or some white loafers. He'll be a fly little baby! Heres a couple of my favs:

Yo Gabba Gabba LIVE!

I think I was more excited than Rome to see Yo Gabba Gabba in concert.

I don't think he even realized they were in person until the confetti came down!

I custom made him a shirt and he wore his new Yo Gabba Vans with all the boys on it!

He'll be wearing this again for his birthday party! ;)
We also bought his a little microphone for $20 that lit up in the dark, it only lasted as long as the concert, because when we got home he used it to beat on everything! Oh well, it's the thought that counts!

All in all the concert was AWESOME!!!!!

More than muffins

So I found a great site for muffin tin meals. (click button below) I love that each muffin cup serves as a compartment. I dont bake often so my tins would go unused otherwise. Since Rome can't stand for his food to touch, this idea is just perfect! He loves having a variety of foods to choose from, and it seems that he eats much more with this method! Thanks MTM!!!!!

I'm a (half) marathon runner!

I have trained so long and today was the day it all came to use. I was so excited this morning. I only ate a little leftover oatmeal and crept out of the house before sunrise. I could here Rome tossing so I knew he'd be waking soon. As I tiptoed out, I whispered a quick, "This one's for you kid" and I was out the door. I know he is what motivates me to keep going. At the race, I was so excited and when the race started it felt like any other run. I didn't stop for a potty break until about mile 3, then I kept trucking. At mile 11 I finally felt worn out and beat up! I looked down at my bib and saw the words "Rome's Mommy" and my was that a kick in the butt to finish up the next 2.1 miles. I arrived and saw my husband holding my little man and I felt so complete. I don't think I could have ever finished this race without picturing my little guy waiting on his mama at the finish line. Thank you baby, for all of the motivation, because of YOU I am a MARATHON RUNNER!!!

Moving Day

Since today was moving day, I was unable to record Sprout TV when they sang Happy Birthday to my little man, I'm upset but I was able to download his card off the site to share with everyone. I cant believe a year has gone by sooooo fast! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Rome, momma love you!!!!
